Privacy Policy

In short: Reliu is an iOS habit and longevity app that personalizes your habit plan based on your health data. We collect your onboarding answers, health data from Apple Health and optional wearables, and lab results if you share them. We use this data only to personalize your experience and run the app. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers. Your data is encrypted and you can delete your account anytime.

Reliu LLC ("Reliu," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Reliu mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Reliu is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

What we collect

Account & contact information

Your first name (required), last name (optional), and email address. You can sign in with a magic link or Sign in with Apple (which may provide a private relay email). We also assign you a unique account ID. If you subscribe, we store your purchase and subscription records via RevenueCat.

Onboarding questionnaire

During setup, you answer questions about your health and habits (most optional). This includes:

  • Date of birth or age, and biological sex
  • Fitness level, workout frequency, years of training, workout types, and equipment
  • Health-safety flags (optional): current injury, chest pain or dizziness on exertion, severe daytime sleepiness, pregnancy
  • Sleep hours, sleep quality and consistency, energy, readiness, stress level, and caffeine habits
  • Dietary pattern, protein, water, vegetable, and fiber intake, and food allergies or restrictions
  • Health priorities (e.g. blood sugar, cancer-risk support, fertility, mental clarity)
  • Timezone and notification wake time

Health & wearable data (optional)

If you connect Apple Health, we read: steps, sleep duration and consistency, exercise minutes, active energy, walking and running distance, workouts, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability (HRV), body weight, and VO2max.

If you connect Oura, we read: sleep, readiness, steps, and activity. If you connect Whoop, we read: strain, recovery, HRV, resting heart rate, SpO2, skin temperature, sleep, and workouts. Wearable connection tokens are stored encrypted.

Bloodwork & lab reports (optional)

You can photograph or upload a lab report. The image or PDF is processed on your device (using Apple Vision) and is never uploaded or stored by us. The extracted text from the report is sent to our server and to our AI provider to structure the results. Best-effort filtering removes obvious patient-identifying lines, but some identifying text may be included in the extracted text.

We store the structured lab marker values (cholesterol, glucose, HbA1c, vitamin D, B12, ferritin, hs-CRP, and other clinical markers like thyroid, hormones, kidney and liver values). You can edit these values in the app.

Usage, diagnostics & app content

We collect analytics about how you use the app (screens visited, actions taken) tied to your account ID. We collect diagnostic and error logs (with identifying fields redacted and health data summarized to counts). We store your in-app content like weekly reflection notes, feedback, messages, and any content in friend reports. We store your push notification token to send you notifications.

Friends & referrals (optional)

If you use the friends feature, we store your username, friend connections, privacy settings, cheers and pings, blocks and reports, referral codes, and your habit progress and streaks visible to accepted friends. Invite links contain your first name and a referral code.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), device hardware IDs, phone contacts, microphone or voice data, or precise location data that is stored. Proof or meal photos you take stay on your device and are never uploaded.

Health & sensitive information

Reliu collects health and medical information, including sensitive information like pregnancy and disability status. This data is used only to personalize your experience and run the app. It is optional and never used for advertising or shared with data brokers.

Important: Reliu provides general wellness information and personalized recommendations, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a healthcare professional for medical decisions.

How we use your data

  • Personalize your habit plan and health insights
  • Run and secure the app (authentication, sync, diagnostics, fraud prevention)
  • Calculate your Vitality Score
  • Enable the friends and referral features
  • Process your subscription through the App Store
  • Send you notifications you have enabled
  • Improve the app through first-party analytics

We do not use your data for third-party advertising, track you across other apps or websites, or sell your personal data.

Who we share your data with

We share data with the following service providers:

Supabase
Our backend host. Stores your account, health data, lab results, friends, referrals, and analytics.
RevenueCat
Subscription management. Receives your email, account ID, and subscription status.
Our AI provider
Receives your health profile and lab report text to generate personalized recommendations. Data is processed but not used to train their models where such controls are available.
Apple
Sign in with Apple, push notifications (APNs), and HealthKit as the source of Apple Health data.
Oura & Whoop
Only if you connect them. They are the source of your wearable data.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or ad networks.

Security, retention & deletion

Your data is encrypted in transit. Wearable connection tokens are encrypted at rest. Lab report images are never stored on our servers. Temporary technical capture of lab text for error debugging is limited and auto-expires within 48 hours.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (go to Settings, then Delete Account). Account deletion permanently removes your profile, health data, lab results, friends, referrals, analytics, and push tokens across all our systems.

Your rights

You can access, correct, and delete your data:

  • Access: View your profile, health data, and lab values in the app.
  • Correct: Edit your profile, health information, and lab values in Settings.
  • Delete: Delete your account and all data from Settings.

Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, use the in-app controls or contact us at rebecca@reliuhealth.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children's privacy

Reliu is not directed to children under 13 and requires users to be at least 13 years old. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated in the app.
